HOMETHE ACCELERATORTHE LEADERSHIP TEAM

LEVEL 02 / YOUR TEAM

Your leadership team is already making AI decisions. Just not together.

A shared programme where the whole group reaches the same level on your own decisions. Six parallel conversations about AI become one, and you gain a shared basis for choosing where AI creates value.

01 / THE PROBLEM

The problem in a leadership team is not lack of knowledge. It is imbalance.

In most leadership teams, the distance between the person furthest ahead and the person who has not started is greater than anyone says out loud. It does not show up as disagreement. It shows up as silence.

The imbalance is a conversation problem more than a competence problem. That is why a course does not solve it.

  • Two in the group use AI daily. Three have not said that they have not started
  • The most enthusiastic person makes the decisions, and the best judgement in the room sits unused
  • You buy tools before you have decided what to use them for
  • Nobody asks the basics, because everyone assumes the others know

02 / SEVEN SHARED CAPABILITIES

A leadership team needs seven capabilities together.

None of them require a technical background. Together they make the group able to choose, lead and stand behind the organisation's use of AI.

  1. CAPABILITY 01

    AI fluency

The leader needs no technical background. The aim is to understand AI well enough to ask sharp questions and make sharp choices.

  2. CAPABILITY 02

    Strategic judgement

Telling when AI is interesting from when it is strategically important.

  3. CAPABILITY 03

    Value creation

Connecting AI to a problem, an opportunity or a new source of value.

  4. CAPABILITY 04

    Work and organisational redesign

The leader moves the focus from using AI to the work itself. Which tasks change, what the machine can take, and where people keep control.

  5. CAPABILITY 05

    Human adoption and change

AI works through people. Adoption is a leadership job about mindset, capability and clarity through the change. Here I work with you on resistance, fear, shifting professional identity and professional grief.

  6. CAPABILITY 06

    Governance and responsibility

AI creates new choices about accountability, security, bias, compliance and human control.

  7. CAPABILITY 07

    Experimentation, scaling and impact

AI has to be tested, documented, prioritised and scaled.

03 / THE RESULTS

Four kinds of results you can act on.

I work with you on decisions you actually have to make. No textbook cases and no anonymised examples from another industry. That is why the results are your own too.

ALIGNMENT

A shared course

A shared course on a hard call. Disagreement is still allowed. The difference is that you now disagree about the same thing.

OPTIONS

Several paths, assessed

Several paths forward, laid side by side and weighed against your goals.

PRIORITIES

A ranking

A ranking of what AI should be used for, and what to invest in.

DECISIONS

Choices on solid ground

Choices made on solid ground. Plus real artifacts from your own work: memos, business cases and frameworks for responsibility and control.

04 / THE OUTCOME

What is different afterwards.

Six parallel conversations about AI become one.

The team has a shared language and a shared basis for choosing where AI creates value.

You know what to invest in, and why.

The priorities are your own, built on your own cases and written by the people who will follow them.

05 / THE ORDER

Do you need to take level 01 first yourself?

No, but it is recommended, and there is a reason. The programme works because the most senior leader can lead from the front. If you have been through the belts yourself, you know what you are asking of the group.

You can read level 01 and level 03 to see what comes before and after.

  • Most people take level 01 first and then decide whether the group should follow
  • Level 02 can run alone, but then the first session goes to what you would otherwise have brought
  • Level 03 only makes sense once the leadership team stands together. Otherwise you roll out something you do not agree on

06 / QUESTIONS

What leadership teams ask before they say yes.

What if someone in the group does not want to?

Then that becomes material for the programme. Resistance in a leadership team usually points to something real: a risk, a responsibility, or an experience with something that did not work last time. I run it as a case like any other.

How much time does each person need?

The sessions themselves, and some work in between on your own cases. Preparation is kept deliberately light, because the programme is built for people with a full calendar.

Can we run it for several leadership teams?

Yes, but not together. The format relies on people speaking freely about decisions they share responsibility for. Put two groups in the same room and they stop.

Do we need technical skills beforehand?

No. The prerequisite is leadership experience. That holds on all three levels.

What does it cost?

The price depends on the size of the group and the scope, and I cover it in the conversation. There are no packages to choose from on this page, because the programme is not a package.

NEXT STEP

The first step is a confidential conversation.

A conversation about where you stand, and whether the Accelerator is the right next step for you or your organisation.
